Bio

Molly Allis/Bear Cub is a musician, visual artist, and videographer. She graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts ‘05, majoring in Theater Direction/Design. She has worked as a puppeteer with the Bread and Puppet Theater (Vermont), Great Small Works (Brooklyn), and has directed many of her own plays using puppetry. She has also performed and toured extensively as a drummer, singer, and guitarist in multiple bands, including The Rude Mechanical Orchestra (Brooklyn), and HUFF THIS!, the band for which the music video “Seahorse” was made. She is currently creating an “experimental folk opera” which she would like to make either an illustrated story book or another animated video for. Molly embraces a variety of mediums as an artist to find new and exciting ways to explore stories. She feels grateful to have collaborated with so many talented, creative and radical people, and is always excited about the next steps on her journey.
